Job Description and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Lottery Agency, Special Investigations and Gaming Security, investigators ensure the integrity, honesty, fairness, and security of the operation and administration of all California Lottery gaming systems and personnel systems (Lottery ) in accordance with Penal Code 830.3 (page). Responsible for general and special law enforcement and security functions. The official must communicate effectively orally and in writing; read and interpret various statutes, rules and regulations.

  • Extensive experience conducting and reporting on complex criminal and administrative investigations, assisting joint agencies in criminal investigations, and bringing cases in criminal courts.
  • POST Academy certificate valid POST Basic certificate.
  • Ability to work overtime and travel (including out of state and overnight) at any time.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
